Superstar congratulates Dr.M.Karunanidhi

Superstar Rajnikanth, who gave a free hand to his fans to support any party as their wish in the assembly elections, 2006. Today he met Chief Minister Dr.M.Karunanidhi and congratulated him for his victory in 2006 Assembly polls.
"This is your victory totally. This is a victory for your matured experience. I wish and pray for your long life and good health", he said to the DMK president.
This was not new to our Superstar to greet the winning personalities not only in politics but also in cine industry.

‘Sivaji’ - The Boss shooting at AVM Studios

Superstar’s ‘Sivaji’ is shaping up well, the shooting schedule for the film is taking place in Hyderabad and Chennai alternatively.
After a gap, the unit of ‘Sivaji’ - The Boss is back into action at AVM Studio today. Mega sets are put up in AVM studio for the shooting.
A song sequence involving Superstar is shot in this set. Till now Shankar has completed only 20% of the film.


Who will direct Superstar’s next movie, Murugadoss or Vishnuvardhan?

Superstar is now busy in ‘Sivaji - The Boss’ shooting. He is paired up with Shankar for first time. The movie is planning to release later off this year.
After ‘Sivaji’, Rajini planning to do atleast three more movies. Superstar is now encouraging young directors to come up with a storyline for him.
A.R.Murugadoss who was much appreciated by Rajini for his work in ‘Ghajini’. After the success of ‘Arindhum Ariyamalum’, Vishnu has became one of the top director in Kollywood. He is now working with Arya in ‘Pattiyal’.
Sources in Kollywood says that Superstar’s next movie will direct either by Murugadoss or Vishnuvardhan.


‘Chandramukhi’ has completed 275 days at Shanthi theatre, Chennai

One more feather in Superstar’s cap. His ‘Chandramukhi’ has created a new record. This movie has completed 275 days at Shanthi theatre, Chennai.
This is the first movie crossed 275 days in Chennai after 20 years. Earlier the movie has made a record of running 100 days in more number of theatres in Tamil Nadu.
Chandramukhi’s grand success made more expectations on Superstar’s next release ‘Sivaji - The Boss’.

Second schedule of shooting for ‘Sivaji - The Boss’ will starts soon at Hyderabad

Superstar’s ‘Sivaji - The Boss’ shooting was started at Hyderabad with a song sequence. Shankar has shotted the song in a mega set designed at Ramoji Roa Film City.
Till now Shankar has completed 10% of the film. After shooting in Hyderabad ‘Sivaji’ unit came to Chennai and they shot a sequence with Superstar and M.S.Baskar in the railway station in chennai.
Now Shankar planning to start second schedule of shooting in Hyderabad on Jan 15. For the next schedule of shooting, a huge set is being designed in Ramoji Rao Film City.

Rajini and Kamal releasing audio cassettes of KB’s ‘Poi’ on Jan 21st

K.Balachander is directing his 101st movie titled ‘Poi’ with Udhay Kiran and Vimala Raman as lead. Prakash Raj producing the film under his Duet Movies.
Shooting of the film is almost over and audio release function will be held on Jan 21st. Vidyasagar scores music for the film. Prakash Raj invited Kamal and Rajini to release the audio cassettes of ‘Poi’.
Interestingly, Rajinikanth would be releasing the audio and Kamal Haasan would be receiving the first copy of it in the presence of Balachander.

Sivaji - The Boss wont be Superstars last movie

Sivaji - The Boss wont be Superstars last movie. News sources says that Rajinikanth will do films with K.S.Ravikumar (compensation of Jakkubai) , K.Balachandar (Rajini’s Gurunathar) & A.R. Murugadoss.
Superstar was impressed on A.R.Murugadoss ’s direction on Ghajini and also expressed his interest in acting a film under A.R.Murugadoss. So after Sivaji - The Boss atleast we can expect three more films from Superstar Rajinikanth.
A.R. Murugadoss is very happy because he is going to direct Supperstars of Kollywood (Rajinikanth) & Tollywood (Chiranjeevi).


‘Sivaji’ shooting at Pachaiyapa’s college

Superstar’s ‘Sivaji’ is shaping up well. First shooting schedule was already over in Hyderabad. Shankar shooted a song sequence with Rajini and shreya as lead. Second schedule of shooting is going on in Chennai.
Few days back ‘Sivaji’ team was shooted some important scenes at Central railway station. Some scenes related to Superstar was taken. Now, before packing to Hyderabad shankar planning to shoot some shots at Pachaiyapa’s Arts College, chennai.
‘Sivaji’ team got special permission from the college management and the shooting was held in early mornings. Some scenes related to Rajinikanth was taken inside the college campus.

Aishwarya Rai in ‘Sivaji - The Boss’

Finally ‘Sivaji’ team got call sheet from former Miss.World Aishwarya Rai. She has given a call sheet of 35 days for ‘Sivaji’. Getting a call sheet from Aish is not a big thing for Shankar, since he already worked with her in ‘Jeans’.
Aishwarya’s entry moved Shreya as second or third heroine status in ‘Sivaji’. It seems three heroines Aishwarya Rai, Rani Mukherjee and Shreya going to perform in Superstar’s ‘Sivaji’.
Aish is now busy in both Hollywood and Bollywood. Three of her hollywood films (’The Last Legeion’ , ‘Provoked’ and ‘Mistress Of Spies’) are ready for release. She is also having ‘Dhoom2′ and couple of movie with Hrithick Roshan.

Will K.S.Ravikumar play second villain role in ‘Sivaji’?

K S Ravikumar is now busy with his couple of movies, ‘Saravana’ with Simbhu and ‘Godfather’ with Ajith. After ‘Baba’ Rajini was planned to do a project (Jhuggubhai) for K.S.Ravikumar but due to some circumstances Superstar signing ‘Chandramukhi’ with P.Vasu.
K.S.Ravikumar hoped patiently that Rajini will surely recall him for his next movie. But Rajini went on to do a movie with Shankar, much to the disappointment of K.S.Ravikumar.
Rajini realized this and now he proposed Ravikumar’s name for most important second villan role in ‘Sivaji’..

Mohanlal Vs Mohanbabu - ‘Sivaji’

Sivaji shooting was started at Hyderabad and it is shaping up well. Now the latest talk in kollywood is that Mohanlal or Mohanbabu might play an important role in Rajini’s Sivaji.
It seems that this role was originally meant for Amitabh Bachchan, a close friend of Rajni, who fell sick and is now not in a position to give dates. So Rajinikanth and Shankar had contacted Mohanlal to star in the film.
Producers feels that casting Mohanbabu might help the movie fetch a good price at Andhra Pradesh. It is not sure who would play the role. It’s a toss up between Mohanlal and Mohanbabu.

Shooting started for Rajini’s ‘Sivaji’

Superstar Rajinikanth next release is ‘Sivaji’, A.V.M. Studios is producing it. Shankar is directing this film.
Other technicians involved in this film are Cinematography by K.V.Anand, Music by A.R.Rahman and Scriptwriting by Sujatha. Mazhai Shriya is pairing up with Superstar in this film.
Shooting for this film is to start off today in Hyderabad. Mega sets are put up in Hyderabad for this shooting.


Sujatha is the Scriptwriter for ‘Sivaji’

Sujatha is the popular dialogue writer in Tamil movies. Sujatha is also a well known novelist in modern Tamil literature. His science fiction stories, investigative thrillers and as well as historical novels are proof of his wide range.

Rajini says no political dialogues in ‘Sivaji’

Super Star is getting ready for his new film ‘Sivaji’. In the movie Baba, there were lot of political dialogues but Baba fails to reach great success, therefore in his latest release Chandramukhi, ther were not even a single scene was related to politics.
So, Rajini has requested Shankar to see that there are no such things in this movie ‘Sivaji’. Shankar has clearly understood what Super Star wants and he has framed the script in such a manner as Rajini told.


Rajini’s ‘Sivaji’ pooja was held at AVM Studios on November 28th


AVM’s Sivaji was launched in a small function held at AVM Studios on November 28th morning 9.30 AM . It was attended by Superstar Rajinikanth, Shriya, Vivek, Director Shankar, K.V. Anand, Vairamuthu, Thotta Tharani, Raja Sundaram, Kareena Begum (mother of A.R. Rahman), Directors Balaji Shakthivel, Perarasu, Gandhikrishna, J.D. Jerry and others.
A.V.M. Saravanan and M.S. Guhan, the producers and the director S.P. Muthuraman welcomed the gathering to the pooja. This is the 168th movie for AVM.
“I don’t know when I will come or how I will come. But I will be there at the right time.”These words were spoken by Rajini in his film ‘Muthu’Directed by K.S.Ravikumar and this surprise ‘Sivaji’ pooja was sounds Rajini’s ‘Muthu’ dialogue.


Vivek going to play commedian role in Rajini’s “Sivaji”

Shankar is directing Rajini’s Sivaji with Shriya as Rajini’s pair. A.R. Rahman is to be the music director for this film. Another important person in this film is Vivek.
He has previously worked with Shankar in his Boys. His recent performance in Anniyan as police officer was really good. Now he is to work along with Shankar in Sivaji.
Vivek feels proud and happy to work along with the Tamil superstar and feels really thankful to Shankar for giving him such a great chance.


Shankar may change “Sivaji’s” title

Shankar is a high budget film director, his previous hits was Gentleman, Kadhalan, Indian, Mudhalvan And Anniyan all titles are ends up with the letter "N".
His previous flops was Jeans and Boys are not ends up with letter "N". So Shankar planning to change the title of "Shivaji" to some other title which ends up with letter "N".


Tamil Super Star overtakes Telugu Mega Star

Chiranjeevi, the Telugu Mega Star has been enjoying the highest paid star status in South India until Chandramukhi was released.
Now with Chandramukhi, Tamil Superstar Rajinikanth has become the highest paid star, as he is all set to get Rs 15 Crores for this film. Rajini for a long time had not been doing films for outside banners and was content doing it for his own banner.
Now, his agreement with Sivaji Films is that he will get 50 percent of the gross sale receipts of the film in Tamil and Telugu, which is to the tune of Rs 30 crores.
