Bono: Madonna Adoption was in the Name of Love
We’re not sure how he feels about the Shanna Moakler vs. Paris Hilton feud.
But U2 singer, Bono, has made his feelings well known regarding the flak a certain material girl has recently received in light of her African baby adoption.
The frontman hit back at critics of Madonna and praised the 48-year-old for giving one-year-old David Banda a chance of a better life.
“Madonna should be applauded for helping to take a child out of the worst poverty imaginable and giving him a better chance in life”Bono said. “Baby David is lucky to have been adopted by someone who can give him a chance of survival in this world and I don’t think it’s fair that people are criticising her.”
The singer then told a story about the sort of sad adventure Brangelina can relate to.
“About 20 years ago when my wife Ali and I went to Africa, shortly after Live Aid, a man who quite clearly loved his child came up to us and begged us to take him.
“It is heartbreaking but he asked us to take his child home with us because he couldn’t feed him. This happens all the time in parts of Africa where unthinkable poverty means people simply can’t feed their children.”

Madonna to Meredith Vieria: I Tried to Pay Baby’s Daddy
Madonna is opening up about the problems she had in her recent adoption case.
She talked on the Today show with Meredith Vieria this morning about initially trying to give her recently -adopted baby’s father money, so he could raise the boy himself. But when he turned her down. Madge said she took as a sign that she should adopt him herself.
The Material Girl told the host she “couldn’t really understand” Yohane Banda’s decision not to take her money, especially because he had “moved to another village and was kind of getting on with his life.”
When he declined the money, Madonna said she regarded it as “my sign that … it was my responsibility to look after [David Bana].”
Madonna also defended her decision to introduce David to Kabbalah nice and early.
“I believe in Jesus and I study kabbalah,” she said. “So, I don’t see why he can’t, too.”
A fair point. And it could be worse. The kid could look just like Bjork.

Borat to Madonna: Raise My Child

It’s unlikely his movie will flop, but just in case, Borat has a back-up plan.
At Wednesday’s London premiere of Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan, the bumbling, faux journalist told reporters about his grand plan.
“I have come here with Bilak, my 11 year old son, his wife and their child, and we are hoping maybe to put some chocolate make-up on the child’s face and sell him to Madonna. I am hoping that Madonna will be a very good father for it.”
The Material Mother, meanwhile, was on Oprah Winfrey today, blaming the media for making such an issue out of her recent adoption. ”
“Shame on you for discouraging other people from doing the same thing,” she said.Of course, if Mads doesn’t want another child, Borat has other backup plans: Ice maker, gypsy catcher or animal sperm collector, specializing in camels.
The last of which, naturally, is how Linsday Lohan spends her Wednesday nights.

Madonna’s New Baby’s Daddy Wants Him Back … Eventually

While reports have confirmed that Madonna recently adopted a baby boy, apparently that child’s father isn’t clear on how serious a procedure this is.
Yohame Banda says he didn’t realize that he’d have to give up the baby to the pop queen forever when he consented to the adoption. Maybe he should’ve read more about Angelina Jolie in order to understand the process.
The 32-year-old Banda, a produce farmer from Malawi, told the Associated Press that he is just now understanding what happened to his son.
“If we were told that she wants to take the baby as her own we would not have consented, because I see no reason why I should give away my son,” said Banda.
Hmmm … so what exactly did he think was going to happen? This was some sort of loan, like Kevin Connolly was to Nicky Hilton?
Well, yes.
Banda says he thought that the biggest female pop star in the world was just going to take care of David as an orphanage would for several years, and then return him to his native village of Lipunga.
Madonna’s Malawian lawyer had no comment.

NBC Crosses Off Plans for Madonna Crucifixion
In a battle of Madonna versus Jesus, NBC has taken the side of everyone’s favorite savior.
Under pressure by advertisers, the network finally convinced the controversial star to cut a crucifixion scene from an upcoming concert special.
Mel Gibson celebrated the triumph of Catholic values with a beer.
During the song “Live to Tell,” Madonna is shown on a mirrored cross wearing a crown of thorns, a visual statement meant, she’s maintained, to illustrate a theme of confession. Shockingly, not everyone saw it that way.
Religious leaders across the globe have objected to the demonstration, as several church-related groups had threatened to organize a boycott of one of the advertisers on the show.
Therefore, NBC has little choice but to censor the concert more than a nude Nicky Hilton model shoot.
So tune in November 22 and see what stunts the Material Girl was allowed to broadcast. Also, don’t expect NBC to ever air the Screech sex tape.

Madonna Adopts Baby Boy
Beyonce may sing about a baby boy.
But Madonna actually adopts one.
Even though her publicist has denied it, here’s how we know the Material Girl really did adopt a child in Malawi: the baby’s father has come forward to confirm the news.
Yahome Banda told the Associated Press that the Queen of Pop visited the Hope Orphan Care Center in Mchinji, where his son had been living. On Monday, the little boy - whose mother died after giving birth to him a month ago - was taken to the capital, Lilongwe, where Madonna was staying.
Admit it: this makes her a bit more Jesus-like, doesn’t it?
Banda says he’s been told that the child, who will join Lourdes, 9, and Rocco, 5, in the Ciccone-Ritchie brood, will come back to Malawi frequently.
“I am very, very happy because, as you can see, there is poverty in this village, and I know he will be very well looked after in America,” the father said.
Will Brangelina respond by adopting another child of its own? Stay tuned and find out!
